As the Group Executive Chairman Andy has the responsibility for the future direction of the business, overseeing all departments, whilst ensuring the needs of staff and customers are met.
With over 25 years in the industry, Andy’s career milestones include being the CEO of Diadora UK at the age of 28, making him the youngest ever Managing Director in the sports industry.
What is your background?
“I grew up in Greater Manchester after my family had moved down from Scotland. We lived 5 doors away from a tennis club, where I spent every spare moment. I have always had a huge passion for sport and I am great admirer of sports people who have progressed through talent and application.
I pride myself on my work ethic, which I obtained from my parents and I couldn’t be where I am today without their support growing up.”
What do you enjoy about working at Kukri?
“Kukri can pride themselves on having a fantastic team of people working together with the customer at the forefront of everyone’s mind. The company also offers excellent opportunities for professional development.
I am very proud to work for such an exciting brand, which has a very bright future.”
What do you do when away from work?
“Away from work I enjoy travelling, I have a real interest in all sports, especially tennis, squash and watching Manchester United.”
