We have all heard a lot about Corona Virus/COVID – 19 in recent weeks, so we are getting in touch with some updates from Kukri Sports and how we are taking steps to maintain our service and our plans for the coming months.
Kukri Sports prides itself on a premium service and product. Our customer service team are still fully operational in our Preston HQ and are following government recommendations in terms of cleanliness and physical contact. Steps have been taken to be able to offer a home working solution to all our staff, should it be required. This is to ensure that our service to our customers is un-interrupted and we continue to deliver.
At this stage, our sourcing infrastructure is returning back to full strength, as China comes to grips with the situation, our factory turnaround times are returning to normal and we don’t envisage further disruption. In terms of global freight, aircraft slots are at a premium and we are managing this situation and are working to mitigate the impact this will have. Any impact will be communicated and we will keep our customers updated on the situation.
Our stock levels have been bolstered, across our core range, allowing us to react to short term demand and avoid global freight disruption. We are adjusting the day to day function of our warehousing team and our distribution network, to ensure disruption is minimised and we’re able to maintain our service levels.
In terms of the wider picture, we remain in a strong position with our majority stakeholders JD Sports. We have begun planning together to ensure we’re ready for the conclusion of the current situation.
