County cricket media days

April 16, 2015 I I ,

Following on from Somerset CCC’s media day, we’ve got news of two more from last week!

Ahead of the start of their campaigns Lancashire and Warwickshire County Cricket Club’s launched their 2015 Kukri kits for all formats at their annual media days.

Starting with the Old Trafford outfit, Lancashire showed off their impressive 2015 kits. Their one day kit, Lancashire Lightning and of course the whites were all on display for the waiting media.

It wasn’t just the men’s team involved – for the first time, Lancs Ladies will be playing in the same kit as the men’s teams and they looked thrilled to be wearing the T20 Lightning kit.

Kukri’s Iain Wright, Sales Manager and cricket fanatic was pleased to attend along with fellow Sales Manager James Oakes. Having had their photos taken, Iain gave us a call to let us know how the squads had reacted to the kits;

“Lancashire are really pleased with this seasons kit, the T20 Blast has remained unchanged for this year’s tournament as they felt last seasons was iconic and served them well. They love the sublimated kits – it’s comfortable and durable, ideal for all formats of the game.”

Onto Edgbaston to visit Warwickshire CCC, with a T20 Blast title to defend, the Birmingham Bears pulled on this year’s yellow and blue kit.

Iain couldn’t stay out of the limelight and can be seen front and centre with the T20 squad.

“It was a thrilling end to the season for Birmingham Bears last season, with a four run win over Lancashire in the T20 Blast Final. Hopefully their new kit can inspire them to greatness this year.”

We caught up with Iain when he returned to the office to find out why he loves working with the cricket clubs;

“Cricket is my sport and it’s incredible to get the opportunity to work with the clubs all season and see it come to fruition at these events, but even more so, to design and deliver the quality kit that the pros want to wear. It’s a big year for cricket with the Friday night’s T20 fixtures opening up so many more opportunities for supporters to see the action.”

It promises to be an exciting season, that’s for sure. Good luck to all of the Kukri teams this season – we’ll be watching.
